Happy Taco Tuesday! I’m actually writing this blog in the AT&T Discovery District.
Today we explored Twisted Trompo! On Tuesdays, they have a deal were you can get a 5 taco plate with a margarita! I initially tried calling in our order. Even though I had every intention on eating the meal there, you can get the margarita to go. But because Twisted Trompo is responsible, I had to show ID before ordering, so we went inside to order.
The experience was great from start to finish! Placing the order was easy and the food came out in no more than ten minutes. We tried to sit outside because the wind felt so good from the rain we had unexpectedly in Dallas tonight. The door was locked to the patio, but one nice employee unlocked it for us! So sweet.
The margaritas came out first. I got mango and my partner got watermelon; both frozen. The margaritas hit and they tasted really good. You couldn’t even taste the alcohol, but you felt it.
The food was presented beautifully and the flavors just burst in your mouth! We got two with steak , two with trompo, and one with chicken; one plate was on corn and the other on flour. The meat is seasoned to perfection e has just the right amount char.

The plates comes with a side of rice and beans. The sides compliment the tacos so well. The red sauce is hot and even though the green sauce is too, it’s more tolerable, so we had green sauce.
You also get a side of grilled onions and a pepper. Please remember when I tell you that Serrano pepper ain’t no bitch!
So if you’re ever in Downtown, Dallas and on Commerce Street, I highly recommend you stop by Twisted Trompo. You will not be disappointed.
